Situated on the first floor of ‘The Calile Hotel’ in Brisbane, Hellenika is a must spot to dine. My husband who travels often for work has a rule that “you should never eat where you sleep”. In this case that rule should be broken, and our fabulous dining experience here has proven even more that this is a hotel you never want to leave.

Hellenika was designed by local Architects ‘Richards & Spence’ who also designed the hotel. The modern interiors are stunning, with a colour palette of white and pastel green, blonde wood, brass accents and marble.

You can choose to dine inside, at the bar, outside on the pool terrace or in the poolside cabanas. We opted for the pool terrace as it was a lovely warm, balmy evening.

The menu is modern Greek in style and absolutely delicious. They have small plates and plenty of starters which are perfect for sharing. You must try their famous zucchini chips and their signature dish of baked lamb. The chicken souvlaki, grilled seafood, greek salad and lamb cutlets were all excellent. Make sure you also save room for one of their mouth-watering desserts. The wine list is impressive with over 450 bottles to choose from.

Hellenika is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - make sure you don’t miss dining here and book well in advance for a Friday or Saturday evening!
