Marzamemi was originally given its name by the Arabs in the 10th century and became famous for its tuna processing, salt drying and oil canning preservation. This ancient seaside village is well worth a visit for a wander, and a relaxing lunch or dinner.

We met our Italian friends for a lovely dinner at ‘Cortile Arabo’. We loved the fresh seafood, excellent service and relaxed dining as the sun went down .

The village becomes even more charming and magical at night, with pretty lights and a wonderful ambience as the town comes alive and everyone is out for the evening ‘passeggiata’ (stroll).
